Description
I got Celebration at the Tonner 25th Anniversary convention in Columbus, OH. This doll was made specifically for the anniversary and her face sculpt has never been used anywhere else. She is mint in the box, just as I received her. I went to the convention for Tonner's Wilde Imagination line, so this doll has held very little interest for me. She's really quite pretty, but in all the time I've had her, I've never even been tempted to get her out. It's time for her to stop languishing and go somewhere that she will be appreciated.Celebration is sculpted like a classic runway model, with cool, imperturbable features. Her blonde hair is slicked back into a bun to show off those high cheekbones. She may have some fly-aways, but if so, that's just how she came. I pushed her hair net back a little to show off her face, but it has always been on her to protect her hair. Her eyelashes are a mix of short and long - a typical Tonner design aesthetic in their last few years. The ones on her left eye may be coming up in the inside corner - it appears that way in the photo, but I can't really tell in real life because her eyes are a bit small for me to see well even when I'm wearing cheaters. If so, it may only need a tiny bit of tacky glue on a toothpick to set right, but I won't try it given the condition of my own eyes! If this is a problem, please don't bid on her. She has a kind of subtle glittery eyeshadow. Her eyes are painted, possibly pale green with blue around the edge of the iris. The rest of her face paint is perfect. Please examine the photos closely.
Her gown is a rich brocade of black, silver, and gold and comes as a separate longsleeved cropped top and then a long, slightly flared skirt, leaving her waist bare. She has glittery black shoes, black and silver jewelry, her certificate, and her stand. None of this has been removed from the box or opened. If she has any staining under the dress, I do not know about it and won't take her out to look. If there are any problems with her limbs or joints, I don't know about it and won't take her out to look. You get her as she came to me. If you take her out of the box, I will not accept the return if you decide you don't like her. If ebay forces me to take the return and I can tell she's been taken out of the box, I will deduct a fee from the refund because then she will no longer be considered "new" or "never removed from box".
Celebration's box is a work of art that reflects the gown she wears. It is heavy black paperboard material with metallic designs similar to her dress. Instead of the top lifting off, it has a magnet on the right side that holds that side down. Gently lifting the side will open her box like a book. The box is in excellent condition, protected by a lightweight outer box, similar to, but not as heavy as, a shipper.
Because she is a convention doll and her box is pretty unique, I will put her into another box to protect her. The white outer box protects from scuffing, but won't protect her through the mail.
I've done my best to describe the item, but I may not have caught every flaw it might possess. Photos taken by me are there to show the item and enhance the written description. They will count towards any dispute. If you cannot tolerate imperfection, this item may not be for you and you shouldn't bid on it, because I can't possible know what you might object to. I am downsizing my collection and I cannot take things back or issue refunds.
I do not give partial refunds, and I will not separate dolls from outfits they are listed in. Don't even ask. This item comes from my smoke-free pet-friendly home.
