TONNER Doll Repaint-Norma Shearer as Marie Antoinette (OOAK)

Description

This auction is for a Tonner doll that I have repainted to portray Norma Shearer in the title role from the 1938 MGM film "Marie Antoinette".  I also made her clothing and jewelry and restyled her hair. She is wearing Tonner stockings and her shoes were purchased from Facets Boutique. She is being listed as used only because she was removed from her original packaging in order to be repainted and redressed--her clothing is new and she has not been displayed. The doll is 16" tall (19" when factoring in her large hairstyle and headdress) with the Tyler bend-wrist body in the tan skin tone. I don't have a stand or box for her (my apologies--I recommend a metal stand specifically  designed for 16" fashion dolls [a Tonner saddle stand won't support the weight of her gown]), but she will be carefully packed for shipping and a signature will be necessary for delivery. -Satin bodice with trim and lace on the sleeves (use care in handling the satin as it snags easily)
-Satin and organza skirt with trim, decorations, star sequins and glitter paint (use care in handling the skirt as the fabric snags easily and the butterfly decorations and sequins are delicate)

-Pannier (this is the hoop that rests at the hips to provide a foundation for the skirt--it is reinforced with a wire)

-Hair decorations (removal of these is not recommended, as they are tightly attached to the hair with bobby pins)
