Very Rare 2 Page WWI German Death Card, Pictured With Rifle On Shoulder,  All Accouterments, Spike Helmet, and WITH RARE MOURNING BAND ON ARM
DESCRIPTION:
Rare 2 page, WWI German death card for a soldier shown wearing spike helmet and all accouterments and casually holding rifle in an unusual pose over his shoulder. EXTREMELY RARE AS HE ALSO IS WEARING A BLACK MOURNING ARMBAND ON HIS LEFT ARM. Probably as a remembrance of a fallen friend or comrade

Specifically, "the honorable youth Jakob Haring, farmer's son, soldier in the Wirtschafts-Aussebuss in Lille, who heroically died for the Fatherland on Dec. 30, 1917, aged 44, as a result of an accidental fall".
VERY CLEAR FULL PAGE STUDIO PHOTO of this man with his rifle slung over his shoulder, spike helmet, and all accouterments as shown. ALSO SHOWN WEARING A VERY RARE AND UNUSUAL BLACK MOURNING BAND ON HIS ARM. Very rarely seen. Probably as a remembrance of a fallen friend or comrade. On the reverse is a very nice patriotic/military battlefield depiction.
Particularly nice photo in full WWI German uniform.
Extremely difficult to find any WWI soldier death cards anymore, but I am selling part of my collection and have a few nice ones to offer.

Original card, MORE THAN 100 years old, and a nice face and story to a very young soldier who otherwise would be a forgotten statistic.
